I know that was a good reason indeed.

I would suggest maybe to save the datas of the new one, in the case the old wiki gone irremediabily messed up for some reason (Admin abandon it and such).

There were several reasons. We were unsure about the admin structure as you say, a new wiki would be able to give us increased freedom to modify it however we wanted, and I personally have a distaste for Wikia after seeing how they treat fan communities when they get profitable. (I was around as a lurker for the WowWiki vs Wowpedia split) It seemed like a logical decision for all those reasons to me. But there are of course disadvantages too. Like losing Wikia integration and the fact that a lot of people already have Wikia accounts and might feel more willing to contribute if they don't have to sign up again.

I should also mention this. If I do shut it down, I plan to do the following things:

1. Announce it on Funtasia Daily several weeks in advance so people have time to save any data they have saved on the website
2. Take an XML backup of the articles and post them here on Fillychan
3. Take a complete OS backup of the server and store it somewhere so we can spin it up again if need be
4. Take a separate backup of my code changes and addons and configuration that I used to make FillyWiki.com look like it does. This will be given out on request if someone wants to use them for a new wiki.
5. I will retain ownership of the domain name
6. The domain name will first be pointed to an page with text confirming information about the shutdown of fillywiki.com. Probably hosted either here on Fillychan or on Funtasia Daily. After a while (maybe a month), I'll instead point the domain name to the Filly Wikia.

Good catch! I didn't think of that discrepancy.

Although the evidence is not completely clear, I believe that the TV show slides were probably created quite a bit earlier than the slides for the two specials. (since a possible reference to the TV show slides has been found in some rather old material) It's possible that they have changed Wranglum's backstory in between the making of the two batches of slides.

I take notice now that the mirror is *already* described as Dark Crystal Mirror (for some reasons I misreaded that), is done with the same material; is possible they cutted the Dark Crystal->Dark Mirror passage as you point becouse redundant.

But this means also that they must have changed that part a Trickster filly causes the freedom of Wranglum them. Doesn't change that probably the Mirror should affect Lynn someway.

The recent line Royals should have rewritten the backstory, but seems the Filly wiki isn't updated yet.

Oh hi! Nice to see you again around here, even if things actually are pretty... frozen, but unlike we don't get something substantial on the show, there is not much to do for now...

I think got "movie" they mean a special episode, probably at least 60" or close; the lenght of a standar episode is already of 30", so that could be the equivalent of a double-part opening episode, just that doesn't figure on the "Episode list".
Seems there is a lot of stuff, but with at least a hour (I think!), should not a problem to show all with a plot that works.

Oh, one can only hope. It'll be hilarious to see magic-using fillies fight over a boy. Even more so if Fabian enters the equation and tries to hit it off with Rose as well... and/or Zack. Triangular ships, ho!

Maybe it's a genre thing. I'm not a fan of the fact that according to her, reindeer are basically cats on hooves like ponies were, even if it is a step up from mice on hooves, like they're usually portrayed as.

Fillies at least look like they have working bodies, and they've got more of the Littlefoot snout than the kittyfaces we're so used to. Gotta give'em credit for that.

With regards to the princess vs. queen: it's the old unspoken rule that every girl wants to be a princess, something Megan McCarthy said herself (I think it was her, when they were announcing some castle toyline... and Twilicorn on the side). Queens are evil in old faerie tales, sure, but so are witches. Fillies have both, ponies have neither, except for maybe Chrysalis....

She is, but at least is not an her fault if the fandom idolatrize her (and for me she is quite clever use the fame for his endings).

Lauren Faust has a good creativity, but average writing skills. While she finds good characters, situations, and undestand what things could be really interesting to see, she lacks of deep.
Lauren focus only to show the situation, but doesn't create a thick context for it and the roots (the causes) that explain why these things exists. Is a sign of two things: she does not grasp well the writing basics, and she lacks of creativity on the plan of "worldbuilding" (the collection of main events, characters stories and origins, and usually all...

I assume this had to do with relatability. The audience is indirectly informed that all that is not clearly defined by the author should be replaced with a similar thing from their past experiences, be it a different art piece, or real life occurrence - this way, the audience's expectations & imagination kinda fuse with the incomplete background of the author's work, making it all relatable.
