And we finally got the words to the theme song! Huzzah! It's slightly generic pop, but it fits with the overall silliness of the setting, so huzzah!

And sweet Celestia's buns, there really is a chef Filly! A snooty French one, no less. Perfect.

It's over the top, the facial expressions freeze in almost spastic ways, this trailer is almost a parody of every girl's cartoon ever.

And I love it for that ^^ I'm starting to think this is going to be to magical fantasy series what Teen Titans was to superheroes: respectful to its roots, but never try to be anything it's not, and go the whole nine yards when being ridiculous and silly. Did you see the size of that cupcake? That thing was bigger than Will. Are they seriously using that as bait?

I can see a lot of scenes from the cupcakes/monster episode. There are many possibilities. This might be opening credits with episode clips, mixed in one video. Opening credits shots might be custom-made trailer-only shots. Hell, everything can be actual episode clips, if they'll really go over the top and have character splash screens in the middle of the first episode!

Terminology issue. We already know that none of the characters are actually horses or any real life species - they're their own type of animal, Filly, which just happens to look like a horse. It's kinda like how it is with unicorns, if I'm not mistaken.
So it's quite possible that they're using 'hand' to refer to the front feet, because why wouldn't they. Or it may be an overlooked detail in the song for the sake of relatability from the audience.

The target is twenty feet tall! And taking into account how fast rumors tend to spread, they might be thinking that it's forty feet tall at that point.
