When I free myself from some jobs in my RL, I shoud come back and post something new (and reply to some old things too!) :)

/rp/ and /rpmeta/ are now added per request.

Generally, my expenses for all the Filly related stuff I do (basically running three Filly websites as well as the very occasional purchase of some Filly stuff) probably averages about 30$ a month. It's not really a super expensive hobby, all things considered. I bet there's lots and lots of bronies who spend more on pony merch than I do on running websites.

Thanks for the tip, and sorry it took so long to reply to it. Right now I just click on the main page and only check the /fill/ pages as well as the /off/ ones. Sometimes I may misclick and get /mlp/, but it's no biggie. I've pretty much accepted that the only way to avoid spoilers is to stick my head in the sand, literally and figuratively. I'll get around to binge-watching on December 5th, it won't be an issue anymore then.

I'll be spending most of the month on NaNoWriMo, writing a new novel, so might just stop checking anything remotely pony-related, especially with Funtasia Daily getting spoilers now, too, because of my own dumb fault. I'll definitely hop in around mid-December, when I expect to have done Edward's materials and textures. The model and rig are done, so it's just that.

Looks like it might be a cookie-related problem, possibly. I'm writing this down on my todo list. (As a general rule, it's always a good idea to make a safety copy of long posts on every site before posting in case the server derps.)

Ironically, I encountered the exact same problem while writing my reply because of the time I spent investigating the problem before finishing up the post.

Happened to me after printscreening my desktop, saving the image in MS Paint (Windows XP version) and trying to use it as the first image in a reply to a post on /off/.

It's already been emptied for a long time now, it was really a temporary measure when I thought the influx of visitors would be much larger than it became (the activity on /mlp/ really has dropped a lot, sadly), I emptied it out as soon as it became evident there was no lasting need for it.

No, it's not that. But I assume that will have to reach out to our possible target groups in some or another way, be it with buying ads or by making contact notes on whichever forum-collection sites people use to find new forums (or other chatting places) to chat on. Basically, if we opt for buying ads on cartoon sites, we could simply not buy ads on sites that are specifically about those three cartoons. That was what I meant.

I'm also getting slightly tired that you always assume the worst of what my statements could possibly mean.

I'm sorry if you felt I accused you of something. Since this is a thread about rule suggestions, I wanted to ask if that meant you wanted some kind of rule to deliberately make this place unappealing for those people.

I'll have to admit I haven't really considered doing any more "active" outreach.

My experience of forum directories is that the number of people who actually use them is very very small nowadays.

I have a question. Are pictures that include Fillies near stuff such as alcohol or cigarettes bad? Like, I'm referring to if there were such a case that a character would be joked about for being involved in drugs, like in the case of MLP's Berry Punch, a no-no and too explicit? It's fine if it is, I don't think I'd post anything about it anyways personally. Just a thought that came up.

Although I'm not a mod, and that I can say that Fillychan at the time of writing simply does not have an actual ruleset, it would have been overly strict in my eyes if there had been rules on pics with alcohol, tobacco or drugs.

Back on Ponychan (all of it 13+ rated), I saw pics of Berry Punch being drunk virtually every day for a year, and some pics and comics of being high, and so I cannot really connect drunkard pictures to explicitness. I also find the humour in things like Smoke Weed Everyday videos, getting wasted in Red Dead Redemption, or weird old tobacco advertisements. I'd never use any of those drugs myself, but I find it pretty fun as long as it's not a poster or an IRL close person himself who intake the drugs.
