Oh boy, an opinion-based MLP thread! Seabreeze is best FiM pony! Am I doing it right?

MLP G1: No idea.

MLP Tales: Too many to choose from! Uuuh, let's go with Roll Around the Clock, I can watch this one any day, any time.

MLP G3 Standard: The Runaway Rainbow, also known as the best My Little Pony feature ever made so far.

MLP G3 Standard Core 7 (Magic Dance Shoes included): Star Song's Party, just for the songs.

MLP G3.5 Twinkle Wish: Well, Twinkle Wish itself!

MLP NewCute: Over Two Rainbows! Closer to what Newborn could have been if it was good.

FiM Faust era (up until Family Appreciation Day): The Best Night Ever, the Gala, the only good season finale out there. So far.

FiM MacCarthy era (from The Last Roundup and beyond): I guess it would be Inspiration Manifestation.

EqG movies or other EqG merch: Music To My Ears. It's perfect.

Official comics in general (IDW, German comics, G1 comics): I don't read them. The very last one, #27, seems to be good.

MLP video games (any gen or format): The Runaway Rainbow GBA! A game where you need skill in order to beat it, a.k.a. a proper game.

You're doing it well so far. Though it is opinion-based, I don't think this kind of thread leaves much chances for others to comment (and object) to another's opinions, which should make the thread more tidy.

My list goes roughly like this:
MLP Tales: The Great Limonade Stand War. The perfect showoff of the three cool guys' personalities.

MLP G3 Standard: My memory is decreasing, but I vaguely think of Two For The Sky as a fun sketch that could (possibly) stand up even with my vastly changed cartoon priorities.

MLP G3 Standard Core 7 (Magic Dance Shoes included): I remember Rainbow Dash's sketch as being fun, mostly due to Starsong looking like a true pimp.

MLP G3.5 Twinkle Wish: Twinkle Wish Adventures. The quality of it doesn't leave the shorter sketches much chance.

MLP NewCute: So Many Different Ways To Play. Though it was in 2011 that I first watched it, the fact that me, one of the biggest haters of small children and small FiM-ponies out there, managed to watch the whole thing and find it charming, makes it deserve some accolades.

FiM Faust era (up until Family Appreciation Day): The Show Stoppers, though most of my taste for it relied on a now-lost Norwegian-Danish mix dub that was somehow broadcast at one television provider.

FiM MacCarthy era (from The Last Roundup and beyond): I'll probably regret this somehow, but Dragon Quest.

EqG movies or other EqG merch: I haven't seen Rainbow Rocks yet, so I'll have to say EqG 1.

Official comics in general (IDW, German comics, G1 comics): I recall a German comic where the CMC rode on a banana boat. It even had a YouTube reading. It was fun.

I need to rewatch the G1 (thing that I doing with time... :) ) becouse the last time I saw it was when I was kid in the '80, but for it I think I go for Rescue at the Midnight Castle and Return of Tambelon, Tirek and Grogar are freaking evil for a kid show.

For the G4 I fall for The Best Night Ever and Testing Testing 1,2,3, but overall for FiM I appreciate very much the episode that center relationships between characters (where still on of the best show for me) over other things. The ways where the Mane 6 behave in Castle Mane-ia is what really I expect from girls that have a long-standing friendhip and know well the wantings of each others; same for Testing Testing or Trade Ya.

I remember taking a look at a G1 episode back in early 2012 (the ep with the giant crab voiced by Peter Cullen), but I found the episode plain and with uninvested voice acting, so I left it at that one episode.

And to be honest, since I had first begun to watch cartoons consistently in 2001, the world of 80's cartoons are such a foreign world to me that I kept failing in trying to find 80's cartoons that appealed to me. And since fans of 80's cartoons, be it Rainbow Brite, Strawberry Shortcake and The Transformers, absolutely hate their newer versions, that has also given me a reason to hate the old versions and their fans as a sort of retaliation, although I give G1 MLP fans a free pass presuming that they don't shun both Tales and G3.

If I understand you right, there were a few good S1 episodes that gained goodness from establishing two-pony friendships much better. Fall Weather Friends would be a typical race-jogging-thing episode if not for the Rainbow Dash and AJ focus it had, and Sonic Rainboom did end with Rarity being grateful to Rainbow Dash for getting her down to Earth again (literally, and in several ways at that).

"Flat" is a good definition :D, there are lot of nonsensical points in the writing of the episodes, but also there is some stuff I really like. Sometimes the "enemies" of the ponies aren't really evil, but forced to submission to someone who is more powerful or make some fake promises (as Grogar that do both to his people, terrorizing them and promise to escape from the curse that make Tambelon disappear). I think I appreciate this point becouse not all enemies would fight the heroes for some "evil plan": fear and blackmail are two other good reasons.
There is also some absurd, crazy stuff as ever, like that guy called Lavan who surf on lava, or the icecream cannons of the bakers which shots... icecream and nuts. O.o!

I find also Green isn't your color one of the best of S1. It deal with three characters with a slight different problem at same time (jelousy for Rarity, the typical shyness for Flutter and a moral dilemma for Twilight) in a simple plot, some good jokes, a complexity that is not matched in other episodes. When Meghan works of relationships, she can do some interesting things.

Ponyville Confidential, Putting Your Hoof Down and Dragon Quest, taking away their flaws, are some ep of S2 I enjoy better; however I have not much taste for the S3.

So then...
MLP G1: for some reason, Revolt of Paradise Estate. Nothing seems to be visibly wrong with it; also Mish Mash Melee because of strangeities.
MLP G2: the one where they got saved by alicorns. Idk the name
G3 (all): Runaway Rainbow, because rainbows.
FiM: Bridle Gossip...
FiM new: Daring Don't
EqG: EqG1, as it sets the universe and it's enough. Not a good universe, though.
Comics: main #17-20 Reflections.

Wikipedia lists the episode as Up, Up and Away. I had actually forgotten all about it, actually, but now I remember some parts of it.

I recall it as that Greetings from Unicornia also had prominent use of rainbows, but that sketch did have a lot less story in it than Runaway Rainbow.

I haven't seen your name around, so I take it you're new to the fandom (or just this fansite)? Or are perhaps an existing Filly fan who also have very many names circulating on websites? (If you are a newcomer, ignore that last sentence, as some 40% of Filly Funtasia fans have at least two names applicable to them.)

Good are those games that don't force player to do something in strict sequence; harder to find those on consoles, and more so nowadays. CPT has very original controls for its time (horse!), is on Genesis, which is convenient, and makes players do much less silly things than in some games. It could have more original music like Ecco Jr., though.

After looking up longplays of Crystal's Pony Tale and Ecco Jr. (The Mega Drive isn't my biggest strength gaming-wise): The controls seem pretty fun, and I'll give a dozen bonus points to any game where you can change a playable pony's coat and hair colour on the fly. Especially the intro sequence had poor music, though the in-game songs didn't bother me after five minutes.
