Many of their writing conventions scream "/mlp/!" at you, which made it a bit hard to read (Even though I don't care for Game of Thrones, I still managed to feel insulted by their claims about it). But the fact that "my little pony" is still shown as a popular search term with only a small decline makes me think that FiM is far from doomed yet *shudder*.

But when I take a look at my extremely enclosed parts of the internet, it seems that public opinion has begun to turn against bronies and that non-bronies consider bronies to have been a fad that has finished its run. Ponychan has dropped its posting rate monumentally, having to combine forces with MLPchan *grrr* due to a lack of money and then turning a combined ~30 boards into 10. I have Skundi's words on that /mlp/ has a dramatically lower post frequency than when he regulared the board up until a year ago.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGPw62RbL8M is an April Fools' reading of early parts of a fapfic, although the real point starts at 3:06 and mentions that bronies are no longer relevant, even if the line was followed by a :^) smiley. Oddly enough, that's the one thing resembling an evidence that I'm using to prove my case, which probably makes me look weird.

While I have no proof for the following, I think that there aren't a whole lot of new bronies that have resulted from normal people suddenly loving FiM. The pool of cartoon-loving teens and personally insecure people in their 20's have gone dry, and the rate at which the selection pools get refilled, is very slow, which is also dammed up by that just about all teens under 17 nowadays live entire lives in MOBAs, Facebook and non-loli pirated anime, without any interests in cable TV to accompany them.

It'll be the slowest decline since the Roman Empire, and it could well take five years. But bronies and FiM have passed the top of the mountain, like a Tour De France rider that climbed a Category 1 mountain and is beginning an 80km ride down to the seaside harbour.

And is exacly how the guys of Horse News love make you feel. ;) They are big trolls, but they also expose the most stupid and disgusting behind-the-scenes of the fandom that Equestria Daily will never dream to touch. If you really want see what going on behind some scandals, Horse News is the best headline. :)

Doubtless the fandom is filled with too much drama and childish folks which it became annoying even to for who stay in it.

But leaving apart this side, I can negate that my personal perception is that the fandom is entred in a stagnat phase. There still some good projects around, some very recent too, but also I see come less the burst of creativity of the first times, that aren't just infinite fan-comics series or niche fanfic crossovers. Maybe I just miss some little things, or maybe is becouse the fandom today has developed some internal niches that I perceive there is no more room for improvement or add something new. Is like feeling that it can not grow or have something new anymore, under the profile of art and creativity, beyond of what we have seen in the past years.

I must also admit that my needs are also changed with time. I'm passed from looking general anthro stuff to checking a single show (FiM) becouse I find interesting how FiM handled some things about antros. It don't show me nothing of new that also other older cartoons did, but instead awaken again my the interest in a more focused niche of the theme (unicorns and griffons). I think that FiM have nothing else to remember to me and for that my attention is lesser now, becouse that maybe I miss some stuff.

I have to point out that their scientists are a bunch of self-proclaimed doofuses, because no big system operates like a straight line unless forced to. It's almost always a line that resembles the function of e^(-x^2), which would make the "death" (also known as "the moment the chart hits zero") of the fandom an event that takes place in the infinitely-distanced future.
