I would love that.
Wranglum strikes me as a villain who relies on manipulation to win.
He recruits a witchy who then starts offering shady deals to other students, including Rose. Slowly the entire academy turns, and those who don't, suffer. Or something.

I had a weird dream just last night. I was watching Filly on our digicorder, so it was something recorded, and my sister was there.

I can't recall the exact details of the first episode I saw, but it involved Rose and the others dancing, and some sort of flute music being used to manipulate clouds. Oh yeah, the dancing was in the clouds. There was also one smaller Filly there with a different, more humanoid face, who sounded really annoying, can't recall the name.

The second bit, I was more aware of. It's inside the school, looks like the hall with the lockers, and Isabella is waiting for someone with regards to the school newspaper. Another Filly, I think an Elf male, shows up, asks what she's doing, and she replies something along the lines of 'Jamie never has time for me anymore'.

And after some exchange or other, the Elf turns her into a kind of Filly elephant: nose turns into trunk, tusks grow out, her hooves look like elephant toes.

Weird part is, upon waking up, I realised that might actually work as a story. Think about it.

A sweet but vain girl is constantly criticised, told she needs to learn to 'listen', 'grow thicker skin', 'stop being so airheaded', and given magic she turns into an elephant. Cue some more drama, climax and probably some speech about cosmetic changes and actual changes not being the same, you've got the makings of an episode. Of Filly or MLP or anything similar. Or just a children's book, even.

Hm. I can tell you that depends a bit how one thinks that children stories should be handled. Melowy can be very mature in some moments: dangerous situation where the characters risk the life, stealing of powers, or such.

So, for a children story, yes, can be allowed. Rose hopes to help someone but choose to trust the wrong person; and that could be a good moral, becouse the life is full of bad people that loves trick and abuse of your thrust. The problem instead is "how" write this, what language use and how deal with the violence or strong situation, that is the main thing when you write children stuff than the message itself.

Speaking of Funtasia, I'm not sure becouse for the few we know seems very heartlight as stories, but the movie synopsys promises some kind of "dark vein" in it anyway.
So I guess that much depends how works the deal between the magician and Rose: it could be something very funny or innocent for us adult (just I can't come with a decent example here, maybe she must force her friends to do something or steal something from them?), but keeping anyway the message that you can't trust everybody.

But speaking if Rose should or not do this: depends, she has a very good reason? Even a paladin can step down and make pacts with a demon if forced by a situation bigger than both.
