Thanks for the quick response - though sadly I suppose you're right. A lack of knowledge is also the big reason I haven't tried to make an OC - and on that note the idea of a roleplay may have to wait still.

In any case, it truly seems as if a Funtasia-centric forum would be best; the last thing anyone crazy enough to run a roleplay forum wants is for players to have no reason for their characters to interact.

In any case, I'm going to have to learn a lot more about the setting if I'm ever going to attempt to make this a reality, but at the very least focusing exclusively on one part of the Filly World (with possible questlines to other parts, if people want a bit of adventure) seems to be the way to go.

Honestly my biggest fear is that Funtasia's gonna be really vague about the world and it's rules.

Probably Funtasia will left some points vague, like the exact location of the various regions (but this was already explained why they could do this), but I think some ideas will be set. The magic crystals have a main role in the TV show, and I expect that if the writing is competent, that some constant rules are straight out. We know they use in their crown, and the main characters have some sort of special role in their society. Anyway neither I preferr be cautious about that.

The toyline setting could work as main source, and can be patched with the TV show stuff where needed.
For other things, we could fill ourself if there is no source that covers it (at least until the show is out), but is the last resort.

I've found out that there's also other boats that are mentioned in the Filly Stars magazines as well as the 2016 Filly Sammelband. We plan to write an article about this.

the first simple thing, give a name to your game/quest.

* Game type
If classical (dice based, or with other tools) or narrative. A narrative roleplay is like writing a story in common, so should be explained if is this kind.

** Ruleset
If the game is classical, should be indicated also what kind of ruleset is used: D&D, Pathfinder, a custom one, etc.

* Setting
As far I know, Fillychan isn't restricted to host funtasia-only roleplay games, although I think Filly or equine-related RPG games are desiderable.
I think should indicate also what kind of setting is used: Filly, MLP (Friendship is Magic, older generation), Melowy, custom one, etc.

Yep, the RP board is open for any kind of RP (as long as it's safe for work), in any universe. If you feel like building your own universe, go ahead, but make sure other players can easily understand what's going on in it.

The storyline has some Dwarf Fortress vibes, for some reasons.
Magma rivers, magma powered stuff, underwater rivers, lost stuff, I think.
They just need to be careful and don't hit the Hell, or its "fun" will spread around very quickly. :)
